Unitedstreaming Training to Continue As a Free Service

The Cooperating School Districts’ Virtual Learning Center (VLC) has provided free Unitedstreaming training for the past two years and is pleased to announce they will continue that service next year.

The first Monday of every month, teachers, library media specialists, and technology directors from area districts take advantage of the free Unitedstreaming training and see first-hand how CSD can support their needs.

Discovery Education Unitedstreaming is a digital video-on-demand and online teaching service to help improve students' retention and test scores.  Unitedstreaming is aligned to U.S. state and provincial standards and more than 30 million teachers and students nationwide use the service.  In May, the VLC provided Unitedstreaming training to educators from Hazelwood, Washington, Rockwood, Ferguson-Florissant, and Bayless school districts.  VLC Technology Instructor Stephanie Madlinger explains, “This hands-on experience allows educators around the St. Louis region to visit CSD and experience what we have to offer.  Many of the participants have never been to CSD so the training opens many other doors to our services.”  Madlinger adds, “Following the free training from CSD, participants are excited to return to their buildings to teach others how to use the resources they have learned.”

Interested participants can visit the CSD Unitedstreaming Web site here.
