New Partnership Between CSD and ATS/Ubistor
The Cooperating School Districts and Advanced Technology Services (ATS) have joined together to provide off-site data backup needs for school districts. ATS and its partner company, Ubistor, is a leader in managed production equipment maintenance and innovative IT solutions. The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) has named ATS/Ubistor one of the top 100 outsourcing service providers with its many clients in the automotive, government, healthcare and finance industries.
On January 18, a meeting will be held at CSD for superintendents, IT professionals and business officials to provide information about the services offered to schools. ATS/Ubistor provides online data backup and recovery, custom data vaulting, application level disaster recovery and consulting services
CSD understands the need of IT directors for off-site backup solutions for their PC’s and servers due to the ever-increasing legislative technology requirements and audits. CSD investigated the ATS/Ubistor solutions to meet the needs of school districts for their online backup and automated data protection and security.
CSD met with ATS/Ubistor and developed a program for this service at a reduced cost based on the pooled purchasing approach. As a result, ATS/Ubistor will present a solution that will allow each individual school district to purchase the amount of storage they need through CSD while leveraging the amount of storage that other member districts purchase to get a lower per Gigabyte (GB) price. This solution will provide an efficient and cost effective data backup and storage solution to each CSD member school district.
